Lindsey Alexander is a creative and collaborative leader committed to supporting equitable change. As an independent consultant with two decades of experience spanning government, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector, she specializes in helping leaders and organizations navigate complex landscapes, build meaningful partnerships, and implement initiatives that drive lasting impact. Lindsey brings a systems-thinking approach to her work, equipping clients to engage key communities equitably, strengthen organizational culture, and improve performance.
In addition to her consulting practice, Lindsey co-teaches a course on resource allocation methods at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
Previously, Lindsey was Director of Stewardship at The Rippel Foundation, where she led the design and implementation of FORESIGHT, a national, multi-year philanthropic initiative that used a futures-oriented process to develop an equitable vision for health and well-being. She also worked closely with place-based partnerships across the country to advance health transformation efforts and co-authored Beyond the Grant, a financing workbook used by national health leaders. Earlier in her career, she advised public sector leaders as a finance consultant, served as an analyst for the City of Minneapolis, and designed and delivered high-impact community engagement initiatives.
Lindsey holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts from Iowa State University. She is certified in Human Systems Dynamics, a discipline rooted in complexity theory that enhances strategic decision-making in dynamic environments. Additionally, she is an Advanced Practitioner in the Team Diagnostic Survey, a powerful assessment tool for diagnosing team effectiveness and guiding performance improvement.
Lindsey is certified as a Human Systems Dynamics Professional, an Advanced Practitioner in the Team Diagnostic Survey, and a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory.
